Cookie policy
A little clarity about cookies, and a choice that’s always yours.
Your visit, your choice
I want you to feel comfortable here, whether you’re browsing photographs or looking for a session for your family. This page explains the small pieces of information my website stores in your browser and what they’re used for.
You can accept or reject optional cookies in the privacy notice. Saying no won’t stop you exploring the photographs, reading about sessions or following a booking link. Optional tracking stays off until you choose Accept.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. They can help a site remember something about your visit. Similar tools, called local storage and session storage, can remember information too. I explain those here as well.
Remembering the little things
My website saves your Accept or Reject choice in local storage under rhiannon-cookie-choice-v1. I remember that choice for 180 days, so you don’t have to answer on every visit. This record includes your choice, when it expires and the tracking services it covers. It isn’t used to track you.
A small session-storage value, with a name starting session-hero-heading:, remembers which session-page heading you’ve just seen. It helps avoid showing the same heading again immediately. It normally lasts until you close that browser tab and isn’t sent to an analytics service.
Your browser settings may clear or limit this storage sooner. If I can’t save your choice, I’ll still respect it on the page you’re viewing, but may need to ask again when you move to another page.
Optional cookies: helping me improve
If you choose Accept, I use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and whether links to booking, contact or Instagram are useful. Google receives information about the visit, such as pages viewed, device and browser details, and cookie identifiers. This helps me understand what’s working and make the website easier to use.
The Google Analytics cookies are _ga and _ga_KCXYMPSVMF. They help distinguish visits and keep a browsing session together. Their default lifetime is up to two years and may be refreshed when you return; browser settings can shorten it. These cookies are only used after you accept.
My link events record the kind of action, such as a booking-link click, rather than the contents of a message or booking form. Google advertising features and Google signals are disabled in this website’s Analytics setup. Google may process information outside the UK; its own privacy information explains how it handles that data.
Facebook and Instagram advertising
There is no active Meta pixel on this website at the moment. If I add one to measure my Facebook and Instagram adverts, I’ll update this policy and the notice, and ask for a new choice before it loads. Accepting today won’t silently turn on a new Meta pixel later.
You can change your mind
Choose Cookie choices in the footer whenever you’d like to revisit your decision. You can also use the button below.
If you switch from Accept to Reject, I stop optional tracking, clear the tracking cookies this website can access and reload the page to unload the tracking tools. This stops future collection from this website; it doesn’t erase information already sent to Google. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
When you follow a link
Booking links take you to Pixieset, and Instagram links open Instagram. Those are separate websites with their own cookie choices and privacy information. My website’s choices don’t carry over to them. Opening an email link uses the email app you’ve chosen.
A question about cookies?
You’re very welcome to get in touch if you’d like me to explain anything on this page. I’ll do my best to help.
