There is something quietly extraordinary about those early weeks at home - the newness of your baby, the slower rhythm of family life, and the details that seem to change by the day.

My newborn sessions are centred around this. Your baby, your home and the people who matter most. I work with natural light and the character of your surroundings to create photographs that are intimate, understated and timeless.

The session is entirely baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddling. I’ll offer gentle direction where it feels right, while leaving space for the moments that happen naturally.

A time to pause in the midst of those fleeting first days.

    Your session is secured with a booking fee, with everything you need sent to you beforehand.

  3. Your session

    Sessions last for around one hour at home, with your baby setting the pace.

  4. Your gallery

    Your photographs are thoughtfully curated and individually edited, then presented in your private online gallery within two weeks.

At a gentle, unhurried pace, we can capture a wider variety of images, from intimate newborn portraits to natural, unposed moments together. Particularly suited to families wishing to include older siblings or grandparents, the session allows for a more expansive collection of photographs, thoughtfully selected to preserve this fleeting chapter in all its richness.

FAQs

I recommend booking your session during pregnancy, once your due date is known. We can arrange a provisional date and adjust it once your baby arrives. The ideal timing depends on what feels right for you and your family. For those soft, sleepy newborn moments, I recommend a session around two to three weeks after birth. If you’d prefer your little one to be a little more alert, with more of their emerging personality shining through, four to seven weeks can be a lovely time to capture this stage.

Before your session, I’ll guide you through the finer details, with a welcome guide offering considered styling advice to complement the natural, timeless feel of your photographs. Hello, I’m Rhiannon Emma - named, somewhat nostalgically, after the Fleetwood Mac song.

My work is rooted in natural light, considered spaces and tender details that make an image feel timeless.

With a background in East London design, my approach is naturally pared-back and thoughtful, allowing the beauty of your home, your family and this particular chapter to take centre stage.

Motherhood is at the heart of my work. I photograph pregnancy, newborns and the early years of family life with a gentle, understated approach - preserving the details, connections and feeling of this time as it unfolds.
